A lush, leafy native with sweet- pea-like flowers of blue-purple hue, Blue False Indigo is a superb plant for borders. It can be found growing wild in woodland edges and meadows. The Cherokee Indians and early settlers utilized it as a" blue dye". It's height is 40-60 inches and it may spread by rhizomes.
